About the event
Dear Diver Friends!
We would like to invite you to our Clean-up Challenge!
As you are likely aware, many dive sites around the island are ruined by scattered debris—fishing lines, ropes, all sorts of plastics, tires, clothing, you name it. To raise awareness and level up our efforts against pollution, we have come up with the idea of organising an Annual Competition.
Towards the end of each month, we will conduct a cleanup dive, focusing on the most affected dive sites. We will record the debris collected by participants after each dive, and at the end of the year, we'll announce the winner.
To add a bit of motivation, the top three contributors will be awarded with some cool prizes!!!
Our goal is to establish this as an ongoing event, bringing the community together and increasing awareness about the significant issue of pollution.
We will provide you with cylinders, mesh bags, refreshments and snacks, but we ask you to bring your scuba equipment.
===== UPDATE =====
Considering the great success of the previous event, we have the February Annual Clean-Up challenge held in Los Abrigos but instead of entering from the marina, we will use an alternative entry that will be announced shortly in the discussion section of this event.
As usual, FlowState is providing the cylinders for all divers + refreshments and snacks at the end of the dive.
It's important to confirm your attendance at the event so we know how many tanks we need to be preparing.
