Participants will learn to utilise proper equipment, refined diving techniques, and specialised breathing mixtures, with a thorough understanding of Nitrox use being a central focus. This comprehensive training includes advanced decompression theories and the implementation of Surface Marker Buoys (SMBs) for accurate and safe ascent procedures when diving beyond 18 metres. Rec 2 training is designed to build upon the foundation laid in the Rec 1 course, integrating critical skill training while reinforcing essential techniques necessary for safe, deeper recreational diving. ​ This course can be done in Single Tank backmount, Twinset or Sidemount configuration! Course Modules: 1. Rescue Diver This course is for scuba divers who want to acquire the knowledge and skills to prevent and - if necessary - manage dive emergencies. It aims to expand their awareness and improve their abilities, resulting in increased confidence. We believe that all divers should take the Rescue Diver Course, regardless of being recreational divers or planning to continue training to become dive professionals. Not only will it benefit you, but it will also provide a sense of security for your dive buddies. ​ The PADI Rescue Diver Course is a challenging and fulfilling continuing education program that teaches individuals to recognize and handle dive emergencies, manage accidents, provide emergency oxygen and even fix common equipment issues. All while testing their physical endurance. The course will positively change your diving experience by enabling you to identify and resolve minor problems before they escalate, boost your confidence, and make diving more enjoyable. ​ During the course, you will learn how to recognize the signs of diver stress and be ready to assist a fellow diver in need, whether at the surface, underwater or on land. It equips you with the tools and techniques to handle emergencies swiftly, correctly and in a coordinated manner. ​ The coursework may appear daunting at first glance, but once you complete it, you'll become a more confident and self-aware diver. You don't need to work toward a professional certification to sign up for the Rescue Diver Course; many divers complete it to improve their diving skills and safety. Note that to enrol for a Rescue Diver course, you need an EFR certificate (Primary and Secondary Care). If you haven't had it, you can do an EFR course during Rescue Diver. The vibrant colours of aquatic animals are more pronounced under the beam of your dive light, and you never know what kind of nocturnal creatures you might come across. The tranquillity and serenity of diving at night are truly unmatched, and it's an experience that every diver should try at least once. Even if you're an experienced night diver, there's always something new to discover and explore. At night we only see what we illuminate with a flashlight; our field of vision narrows, and we see much more details. Small / Private Groups At FlowState Divers, the safety and well-being of our divers are paramount, so we limit our groups to maximum of 3 divers / guide . This ensures that everyone is closely watched and paying attention to one another while diving. Dive Gear We do provide absolutely the best quality equipment to all our diver included in the price. We have the highest quality BCD's and regulators available on today's market including brands such as Apeks & XDeep​. In addition to the apparent life support equipment, all divers - by local Spanish law - must carry a surface marker buoy (SMB), compass, and cutting device on every dive. Given the location of the island in the Atlantic Ocean and its proximity to the Gulf Stream, it has regulated water temperatures all year round - the lowest is 18° C/64° F (winter) and the highest is 23-24°C/73-75° F (summer). Marine Fauna Night diving offers a different perspective of the underwater world as compared to day diving. What type of equipment does FlowState Divers use? At FlowState Divers, we utilise high quality and specialty dive gear inspired by technical diving to enhance safety, comfort, and performance. Our equipment undergoes regular servicing. Is swimming ability necessary for diving? Yes, however, you don't need to be an Olympic swimmer to try diving. Good basic swimming ability and comfort in the water are sufficient. What does it mean to be "fit to dive"? Being "fit to dive" means being psychologically, medically, and physically prepared for diving. It includes the ability to carry diving equipment on land, safely enter and exit the water, and maintain overall fitness. A medical questionnaire needs to be completed prior to diving, and depending on the answers, a physician's clearance may be required. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding this process. How should I plan my schedule before and after diving? Diving is physically demanding, so it is important to ensure you are well-rested and not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substances that may impair your attention. Get a good night's sleep before diving and have a meal before your dive. What should I bring with me on the day of my dive? Please bring a towel and dry clothes for after the dive. As we will be heading directly to the dive site, you may wear your swimsuit in advance to make the changing process easier and more comfortable for you. While we provide snacks and water, you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Do I need to visit the dive centre? No, you don't need to go anywhere. We offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off services from your hotel or apartment to the dive site, so transportation is taken care of. What is the minimum age requirement for diving The minimum age for diving with FlowState Divers is 15 years old. What is the maximum depth allowed in the Discover Scuba Diving program? The maximum depth allowed in the Discover Scuba Diving program is 6 metres. However, if you demonstrate confidence and comfort with your equipment during the first session, we can proceed with a second dive, which can reach a maximum depth of 12 metres. Are there any restrictions for flying or going to the mountains after diving? It is recommended to avoid flying and high-altitude activities for at least 12 hours after diving to prevent potential decompression-related issues. How can I book a scuba activity? You can make an online booking through our website. Each activity has its own booking process. Simply click on the appropriate button for the activity you choose (“Book Your Dive”, “Book Your Course” or “Book Your Session”), provide your details and the requested date for the activity, and we will confirm your booking by sending you an email with important information about the activity. How and when do I pay for my booking? Payment can be made in advance through a payment link sent by us, or you have the option to pay with cash or card in person before your dive. For courses and workshops, advance payment is required. How far in advance do I need to make a booking? We kindly ask you to submit your booking request at least 24 hours in advance for Guided Dives and Workshops, and a minimum of 48 hours in advance for Night Dives and Courses.

Sidemount Workshop Achieving proper Sidemount diving technique is a meticulous process that cannot be effectively learned through videos or taking a - typically oversimplified recreational course. As sidemount diving gaining its popularity over the years, it’s getting increasingly common to encounter divers underwater with dangling cylinders, and wrong harness configurations that not just pose a massive safety risk but also limit the overall joy factor’ of the diver. To address the above, we designed a unique Sidemount Workshop that helps you to get the most out of your sidemount diving experience by teaching you the tricks in a form of a private session. Each session includes land training that incorporate equipment streamlining, entry/exit techniques, refinement of your propulsion and weighting as well as an actual dive where you can put all this into practice. You either have a specific issue you would like to work out or need a refresher, we offer the following areas to cover during a session: Fundamental sidemount skills Equipment configuration/streamlining Propulsion techniques Diver’s weighting/trim Proper safety drills Entry/Exit techniques Rescue techniques All our sessions are recorded and analysed with your instructor after the dive, in an attempt to maximize your learning curve. We possess a deep understanding of this technique and have extensive experience diving exclusively on this setup, in caves and other environments. Our proficiency and experience is unmatched on the island of Tenerife in terms of diving sidemount. ​ We encourage you to use your own harness during the workshop so we can help you configure it correctly if needed. In case, you are unhappy with what you currently own, we have a selection of gear you can try out for no additional cost.
