The XBASE is meticulously designed to lay the foundation for expert diving practices, regardless of your previous experience or intended dive environment. Due to the subtropical climate it has warm temperatures year-round. Given the location of the island in the Atlantic Ocean and its proximity to the Gulf Stream, it has regulated water temperatures all year round - the lowest is 18° C/64° F (winter) and the highest is 23-24°C/73-75° F (summer). Marine Fauna Night diving offers a different perspective of the underwater world as compared to day diving. As sunset signals the end of the day for some animals, it marks the beginning of activity for many nocturnal creatures. Divers may have the opportunity to observe unique marine life, including squids, octopuses, eels, sea urchins, shrimps, lobsters, and crabs, that are more active at night. Additionally, there are lots of different shrimps, lobsters, and crabs that show up only at night. One of the fascinating aspects of night diving is the opportunity to witness bioluminescence, where plankton-like organisms emit light when stimulated underwater. To fully appreciate this phenomenon, you should cover your flashlights and move your arms in the water, creating a mesmerizing display of tiny flashes of lights around you. • UTD Essentials of Tech | FlowState Divers

WHO IS THIS CLASS DESIGNED FOR? The Essentials of Technical Diving is where students receive the foundation of UTD/DIR philosophy, configuration, and in-water skills. The class is designed for any diver that wants to learn about the benefits of UTD and apply them to their diving. The class is not only geared toward the beginner tech diver, but even seasoned veteran tech divers have found that by incorporating UTD principles into their diving practices, they increase both safety and fun. Photographers and videographers will especially appreciate the detailed training in propulsion & precision buoyancy control that assists you in getting that perfect shot! Instructors will appreciate the “fresh look” at diver training and skill development. This is a great first step towards learning and understanding the Unified Team Diving approach. WHY SHOULD I TAKE THIS CLASS? Regardless of your experience level, UTD philosophy allows you to grow as a diver. Some divers are eager to begin incorporating the increased skill and academic demands of UTD but do not have the desire to become deep technical divers. This class is tailor made for aspiring recreational divers who wants to know what skills they need to work on, or for the diver new to UTD who wants to learn more without the burden of passing a class. This class serves as an excellent introduction to UTD Technical classes, and is perfect for someone who wants to start in technical diving. WHY TRAIN WITH US? At FlowState Divers , we proudly stand apart as an elite group of dive professionals with extensive backgrounds in Cave and Technical diving. What sets us apart from the rest is our unique approach; we don't just teach, we teach as we dive. Our unwavering commitment to excellence drives us to be the best of the best in the diving world. When you train with us, you're not just learning the skills; you're embarking on a journey to exceed industry standards. Our students emerge from our programs as self-aware and utterly badass divers, well-prepared to explore the underwater world with confidence and expertise. Sidemount The UTD Essentials of Technical Diving course serves as an entry point for technical courses. This program offer divers the opportunity to acquire the essential diving skills required to engage in collaborative team diving and maintain safety and control while underwater, adhering to the DIR philosophy of being a "thinking diver." The course commences with a focus on proper breathing, which is the foundation for achieving buoyancy control. Achieving precise buoyancy, along with a streamlined horizontal body position, is the hallmark of a skilled Scuba Diver, symbolizing mastery of water control. As you progress, you'll learn to effortlessly maintain your position in the water, which sets the stage for the acquisition of additional skills. These include mastering five distinct kicks (frog-kick, modified frog-kick, modified flutter-kick, helicopter turn, and back-kick) that minimise sediment disturbance and enhance your control for both forward and backward movements. The curriculum also covers advanced techniques such as proper air-sharing procedures known as S-drills, team protocols, the utilisation of Surface Marker Buoys (SMBs), comprehensive gas planning, and proper ascent strategies. Additionally, you will delve into the intricacies of managing a twinset, including the Valve Drill and the rationale behind regulator configurations. The course also addresses working with a stage/deco cylinder. If you have an interest in acquiring these skills but aren't yet inclined toward technical diving, the Essentials of Rec program is a suitable alternative. Importantly, you can seamlessly transition from Rec to Tech without starting over. The Essentials of Technical Diving is typically conducted in open water at depths of 6-10 meters. This personalized class equips you to venture into technical depths by enhancing your mastery of buoyancy, trim, and propulsion. It also introduces more advanced air-sharing techniques and deco bottle handling protocols, along with complex gas planning and ascent strategies. Overall, the Essentials of Technical Diving acts as a vital link between traditional training and the more rigorous technical curriculum offered by UTD. Its primary goal is to develop you into a "Thinking Diver," whether you plan to pursue further tech training or simply aspire to become a highly skilled recreational diver. If the Essentials of Tech incorporates Nitrox academics, it includes a Nitrox certification allowing you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters. • DOUBLES MINI | FlowState Divers

WHO IS THIS CLASS DESIGNED FOR? Created for divers interested in either embarking on the path of technical diving or seeking safer and more extended dive experiences on a recreational level, this course is suitable for anyone looking to explore the advantages of utilising double tank configurations. If you're contemplating a move into technical diving but are uncertain about committing to the Intro to Tec course, and you'd like to experience diving with doubles beforehand, taking this class is an excellent option. Alternatively, if your goal is to extend your recreational dives while emphasising safety through the use of double tanks, this course is the perfect choice. WHY TRAIN WITH US? At FlowState Divers , we proudly stand apart as an elite group of dive professionals with extensive backgrounds in Cave and Technical diving. What sets us apart from the rest is our unique approach; we don't just teach, we dive as we teach. Doubles Mini The Doubles mini training is designed to introduce and train divers in the use of the double tank back mount configuration. Double tanks, also known as "Doubles" or “Twinset” offer an advantage over single tanks by providing complete redundancy and larger gas volumes. However, balancing and trimming doubles can pose a challenge due to the additional cylinder and gear. As doubles feature two valves, two first stages, and a manifold, it is essential for the diver to possess a comprehensive understanding of the individual workings of each valve, as well as how they collectively function in the system, to ensure safe diving with the equipment. Throughout the academic segment of this course, divers acquire knowledge about the principles of Double Tank Diving, appropriate weighting, the types, functions, and purposes of isolatable manifolds, as well as normal and emergency procedures. During the land drills divers receive instruction regarding the setup, configuration, care and maintenance of the back mount system. Sidemount configuration allows the tanks to be worn along the sides of the diver's body rather than on their back, making it easier to navigate through narrow passageways. Fast forwarding 20 odd years, the use of sidemount configuration made its way to mainstream recreational diving and many divers started to feel increasingly enthusiastic about the freedom and versatility that it provides. You don’t need to have cave or technical diving aspirations to enjoy this type of diving; in fact, we encourage all divers that are keen to broaden their horizons to give it a try; you will likely never look back to your back-mounted set! This half-a-day program, is designed to give you the opportunity to experience an extended adventure dive and discover what you have been missing until now. It’s strictly a 1:1 session with your instructor so we can guarantee the required attention you need, considering there are a lot of new things you going to learn about. Why Sidemount with Us?

Essentials Of Tech The UTD Essentials of Technical Diving course serves as an entry point for technical courses. PREREQUISITES • Minimum age of 18 years of age. • UTD Recreational Diver 2 (Advanced Diver) or equivalent. • Minimum of 50 dives beyond open water certification, 25 of which must be non-training dives. • Cavern Dive | Guided Dive | Tenerife

Cavern Diving Cavern diving is a breathtaking experience because it allows divers to explore an entirely different underwater realm, which is unknown to many. Due to the volcanic landscape, Tenerife is a paradise for those who are enthusiastic about caverns and other intriguing geological formations that often provide habitats for an amazing array of marine life that's otherwise unseen in open water. The island's volcanic origins have created incredible lava tubes that are home to a mixture of sea creatures, from great Atlantic rays to massive lobsters that thrive in these dark, sheltered surroundings. The dark and secluded environment also creates a sense of mystery and adventure that can be incredibly exciting. The unique geological features of caverns, such as intricate rock formations, crystal-clear water, and stunning lights, are remarkable visual experiences. ATTENTION Unlike most dive operators around, we as a group of certified cave divers, understand the inherent risk of overhead diving, regardless of its difficulty. For that reason, we do not allow our divers anywhere near 'just a swim through' or otherwise easily accessible systems that pose a real risk for the untrained. To participate in these dives with us, you must be at least a cavern certified (any agencies), be a reasonably well rounded diver and feel confident using a reel and guidelines. Keep in mind that caverns become caves at night, so unless you are Full Cave certified, you will only be able to dive during the day. Dive Gear We do provide absolutely the best quality equipment to all our diver included in the price. We have the highest quality BCD's and regulators available on today's market including brands such as Apeks & XDeep. In addition to the apparent life support equipment, all divers - by local Spanish law - must carry a surface marker buoy (SMB), compass, and cutting device on every dive. In case you don't have your own, we will supply you with these, included in the price. Free Pickup For your convenience, we offer a pickup/drop-off service to your desired location free of charge around the south of the island. In case you are outside the free transport zone, we will calculate a fair price upfront, based on the mileage. We are enthusiastic about capturing photos and videos of all dives, and you can access these at no additional cost after your activity. CAVERN DIVER (MIN. CERT) TRANSFER INCLUDED RECREATIONAL LEVEL Cueva de los Cerebros The sea cave of volcanic origin is located on the south of the island close to Abama Hotel, accessible from the shore. The dive itself starts from a sandy beach that belongs to a hotel, where we need to exit the confined water area, descend to around 10 meters of depth and carry on along the wall until finding the spacious entrance of the system at 12 meters. There is no permanent line installed inside so we tie off here in open water and use our primary reel to explore the cavern area of the system. The cave is often occupied by mating Atlantic rays and the resident giant lobsters that prefer to hide in the dark. The system itself is about 75 meters of linear penetration and some sections are off-limit to cavern divers. Caverns of the South COMING SOON ! Get Notified Program Summary • Approx. 85 minutes in-water • ~4-5 hours of activity • Pickup & Drop off to your preferred location • Max 3 divers / guide Had the best guided cavern dive today!
