The Team Principle
Diving alone is not diving with FlowState Divers. Every dive we train, and every dive a FlowState Divers - trained diver conducts afterwards, is conducted as a team - never solo, and never in a group large enough that individual awareness quietly dissolves into the crowd.
Minimum Team Size
Maximum Team Size
Maximum team size is three. Beyond three divers, awareness starts to erode in ways that are difficult to fully recover through training alone. A team of two or three can maintain constant positional awareness of every member, communicate clearly without signals getting lost in the group, and respond to a single member's problem without the rest of the team becoming bystanders. A larger group might look like a team on the surface. Underwater, it functions as several smaller, less coordinated groups sharing a dive site.
This applies without exception, across every environment we train in - open water, overhead, any configuration, any bundle. A cave dive, a wreck penetration, a routine training dive in a quarry: the same ceiling applies, because the reasons behind it don't change with the environment. If anything, they matter more as the environment becomes less forgiving.
