Sidemount Equipment Awareness

Sidemount diving offers unparalleled redundancy and flexibility but demands thorough mastery for safe practice. This advanced technique requires divers to have a deep understanding of their equipment and configuration. Our video introduces a training exercise designed to enhance tactile familiarity with sidemount gear, ensuring divers can manage their setup purely by touch, even in low-visibility scenarios. We'll guide you through step-by-step instructions on donning and doffing cylinders while maintaining buoyancy and trim. By practicing these drills, divers can build essential muscle memory and quick response capabilities, preparing them for real-world underwater challenges. Trying these exercises without a mask or fins is only for entertainment purposes, and should always be performed with supervision to ensure safety.
